@Lloyd_Cole Terrific read. Couldn’t agree more about Lady Stardust. Now it’s my stand-out track from Ziggy, even though I barely paid attention to it as a teenager! Great vocal.
I wrote a little something about Bowie in the 1970's for my Substack people. By no means definitive, just my thoughts most of a lifetime later. https://t.co/eMfUz0RGCp
Jim Sullivan - Plain As Your Eyes Can See
This song swings like a key party, courtesy of elite L.A. session cats. A groove that feels so natural, unforced, wrapping it all up so gently you almost don’t notice how sad it is.

@batcountry1980@SalvadorDafti@deanriehm@sjgiardini@SurfThrash Bizarrely, I saw Nirvana in New York in 1989 when they were promoting Bleach- I’m pretty sure I went to see the act they were supporting, who might have been Bob Mould’s Sugar but the old memory gets a bit hazy. They were great.
@batcountry1980 Agreed. The Seahorses are always going to be a distant second place to the Roses but I do have a soft spot for them, especially this song and You Can Talk To Me.
