@louisapower Nurse rang me at 7am saying mum was asking for me. I asked if she was ok. I could hear her shrug through the silence?! We urgently went in only to be turned away at the nurses station by another nurse. Was a dreadful experience. I hope your gran is ok x

@pharmthorrun i've been called a clinical pharmacist for 20 years.I've also been a technical pharmacist for the 5 yr stint in technical services. There are academic pharmacists and industrial pharmacists. now there are digital pharmacists. There are many types of pharmacists &always have been

@_theprereg if there is no profit in marketing a drug in the UK then they won't.generics and the contracts awarded on cheapest drug isn't working out for a lot of suppliers.then the one contracted suppliers factory burns down(tazocin)&theres is no other company that is currently supplying UK

@_theprereg imagine with brexit looming too how difficult it will be from EU. I had a drug stuck in Copenhagen for a day. it's a half hr flight to London - i was tempted to jump on a plane and retrieve myself. full time job these shortages

@_theprereg you have no idea how many critical meds hosps can't get from time to time. We end up buying from USA sometimes, but have to go through stringent QA. specials companies who supply these have difficulty at customs, they then QA,distribute, then eventually we get it & have to QA too

@drmahendrapatel well the rx counselling was non existant. 20 people waiting & in a rush. i quit community locum due to this. im not against the petition btw just haven't heard people talking about it. only saying it shouldn't happen!

@drmahendrapatel i know many people who buy medicines from shops rather than pharmacys. (usually because they are cheaper) they get no advice then? Unfortunately even when i've community locummed i only have time to check the prescriptions. The assistant did the fun stuff on advising OTC/Rx's.

@dav_manku @DrAbdulWPhD @GPpharmacist1 @rcgp @CQCProf @CareQualityComm @the_pda @TheGPhC @PSNCNews @rpharms @pcpa_org @medway_pcwt @pulsetoday @theRCN same?! i had many contact days & a specific clinical asessment module & an a&e specific asessment at the end after spending 30 hours in a&e in addition to the 90 hours. oh and a week of broken bones & Xray stuff which was super intense. not sure where this 2 days is from???
