My honest review: it’s a good movie on its own, but a bad Spider-Man movie. I’m very disappointed with this film and with the MCU’s take on Spidey in general. Once again they didn’t give me the Spider-Man I wanted to see. Yes, we finally get better swinging and improved visuals, and Peter feels more like his comic-book counterpart - but they turned this into more of an X-Men setup than a Spider-Man movie.

What I wanted: Harry, Gwen, Black Cat, maybe Kingpin. Actual Spider-Man villains as the main threat. Maybe even a proper mention of Uncle Ben.

What I got: Jean Grey and an obscure X-Men villain who appeared in only a handful of issues as the main antagonists.

It all feels like setup for another franchise. And they should’ve moved on from Ned and maybe even MJ, bringing them back makes it feel like the series can’t evolve. Overall, very disappointing.

I’m starting to think #TheGameAwards mystery desert statue could be teasing Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet🚀

We still don’t know what planet Sempira looks like beyond the few seconds of combat against a robot

What we know about Intergalactic:

✅Set 2000 in an alternate future
✅Timeline deviates from the 80s
✅A game about faith and religion
✅New religion start with timeline deviation
✅After first prophet many altered religion
✅Planet Sempiria is where the religion is
✅Communications cut off 600 years ago

So this statue might possibly represent some gateway to a temple dedicated to this religion and it is a fusion of genetic experimentation, technology we don’t understand and possibly the planet’s natural fauna.

Either that, or it may turn out to be:

✅The Lord of the Rings game
✅Bloodborne remake or successor

It feels too elaborate of an effort to just be a DLC or something already announced, other than Intergalactic or TESVI (which is claimed not to be it) since both are massive events in gaming.
