Sometimes when I'm getting ready in the morning I look in the mirror and think, "Light Italian dressing."

[Justin T. Brady @superthegoose]

@AnnCoulter John Denver wasn’t conservative.

[Justin T. Brady @superthegoose]

@MattWalshBlog John Denver was anti-conservative, lol.

[Justin T. Brady @superthegoose]

@harukaawake You guys know that John Denver was a left-wing supporter and heavily criticized conservatives, right?

[Justin T. Brady @superthegoose]

@ChrisRGun

[Justin T. Brady @superthegoose]

@RicFromSSS The console wars are back with a new coat of paint, I see.

[Justin T. Brady @superthegoose]

@Ohnimus210 How’d that work out for the 90s one?

[Justin T. Brady @superthegoose]

@Ohnimus210 @ElijahToombs3 Insane that you could listen to the score (not the soundtrack!) and say it wasn’t made with love.

[Justin T. Brady @superthegoose]

@BlackMajikMan90 I agree. Especially after hearing the songs on the score that were cut from it and replaced by licensed songs. I never need to hear “Holding Out For A Hero” in another movie ever again. It worked for the non-game fans I was with, however, so I get why they did it.

[Justin T. Brady @superthegoose]

@slothsaretight3 You think “fans will be delighted” ≠ good by any metric, we just disagree about that. Art is subjective. If you don’t like it, fine, I’m not mad about it. The movie isn’t even out yet, though.

[Justin T. Brady @superthegoose]

@RicFromSSS Not really. There are different metrics for this type of critique. Soulless seems extreme to me. I’ve been a fan of the games my whole life and I think it’s a fun movie that’s a a visual/audio treat. My nephew loves it. Yes, it’s a bit thin on plot. 1993 one = too MUCH plot.

[Justin T. Brady @superthegoose]

@ScratchAE__ @slothsaretight3 He’s a Nintendo character from a different franchise. They’re clearly setting up a cinematic universe, to some degree. Again, will it be good? It’s not even out yet. Just wild how snotty and upset some people are getting over a kids movie that’s just meant to be a fun ride.

[Justin T. Brady @superthegoose]

@slothsaretight3 That's the point, it doesn't need to be "good" in the mainstream sense of the word. It's a kids movie based on a 40 year old franchise. The demographic is typical and expected. You've never enjoyed something that was widely considered mediocre? People on this website hate fun.

[Justin T. Brady @superthegoose]

@ScratchAE__ @slothsaretight3 That’s a whole other debate. I’m not saying they need to exist. But they do. I’ll take an animated Mario movie with *gasp* Mario references and characters over trying to shoehorn in some grand narrative that doesn’t exist in the games.

[Justin T. Brady @superthegoose]

@Shamaboy11 Counterpoint: who cares?

[Justin T. Brady @superthegoose]

@BachFjoreskin @Getlucky12341 An animated kids movie for a 40 year old franchise that, at one point, had a live action movie starring Bob Hoskins and Dennis Hopper. The wide demographic is both typical and expected. Why does everyone on this website hate fun so much?

[Justin T. Brady @superthegoose]

@Jfcdoomblade Anymore? There have been two Super Mario movies in over 30 years and one of them starred Bob Hoskins and Dennis Hopper. The franchise is over 40 years old, the wide demographic is both typical and expected. Why do you hate fun?

[Justin T. Brady @superthegoose]

@carynannharlos More like a flip-flop.

[Justin T. Brady @superthegoose]

@LauraLoomer Not too bright, are we?

[Justin T. Brady @superthegoose]

@Trentipede Hope you bookmarked this.
