Our refugee and asylee students from Camelot ES and Colonial Hills ES are learning Social Emotional skills needed for academic success. Students read “In my Heart” to learn about the many feelings we can have.

Our newcomers at the elementary level were able to use their voices and tell their stories through the arts. It has been an outstanding experience to see students who are typically quiet shine through the utilization of a puppet like Little Amal! Thank you @TobinCenterSA @NEISD

World Refugee Day is recognized on June 20th. It is a day to build upon the concept of understanding the resiliency and courage that one may experience to rebuild their future. This day is seen as an opportunity to allow everyone to understand and embrace the celebration.
