Snail joined #secondstep in 2A this morning. Snail helped teach students how to ask for help in a way that is assertive (not passive or aggressive). @2ndStepProgram
At Rainbow Club today 5th graders experimented with our new button maker! We can’t wait to see what the 4th and 3rd graders make next! Thank you to the @HeathSchoolPTO for funding this project. @heathhawkspe@schoolheath
On Tuesday we talked about how we feel when we are in the Blue Zone. Mrs. O takes to us about how when we are in the blue zone we feel sad, tired or sick. @support_heath
Mrs. O came to talk to us about the Zones of Regulation today. We learned about the green zone, feeling happy, calm, focused, and ready to learn! We made pictures of how we look and feel when we are in the green zone. @support_heath
@ms_koocher@ms_koocher KBK students can name their feelings, empathize with their friends & so much more!! Thanks for another great school year teaching in your class. @2ndStepProgram
We made Mrs. O thank you cards for all her amazing work with us during Second Step this year! We are so good at talking about our feelings because of all she’s taught us. ❤️❤️❤️ @support_heath
We learned one of my favorite Second Step songs with Mrs. O today! Our lesson was about feeling frustrated. When feeling this way we can say “stop”, name your feeling and then take a deep belly breath to help us calm down. @support_heath
Worked with adjustment counselor Mrs. Magnanti @support_heath to create this SEL bulletin board in the library. Making lit and social-emotional learning connections for our students📚🧘 @schoolheath@BrooklinePublic
Today we put our Zones knowledge to the test! Mrs. O showed us some characters acting out different feelings and we had to figure out which zone they were in. We rocked it! @support_heath
