My February highlight…our Talking Families Workshop at The Beacon. "So many helpful tips and advice. The delivery meant that it wasn’t overwhelming. Inspired to give a couple of points my main focus then work through the other ideas."

@RGSGuildford Thank you for inviting us back to the beautiful Big School last night to deliver our Talking Teens workshop to an amazing, engaged group of parents #SupportingLinks#teens#parenting
We were delighted to be invited by The Beacon School to present our Talking Teens workshop face to face to a group of wonderfully engaged parents. There is nothing like being in the room with our group! #SupportingLinks#beaconschooluk#teens#parenting
We can, however, talk to our teenager about this, empathise in the morning when it's hard to get up & talk with our teen (this being very different to telling them!) about ways they can have a calm & relaxing evening routine, so that sleep comes more easily when they are ready.
It's worth considering the brain development that happens at this time, which makes our young people behave in new & unexpected ways. It's not their fault that melatonin kicks in at a later time during the teen years, so they can't get to sleep as early as we might like.2/3

Ray @ Supporting Links says:
This can be really distressing for parents. We see the children we love and care about at loggerheads or even coming to blows.
Siblings are using each other to work out their place and position in the world. (continued in comments)
