how do i explain that when i don't respond to a DM, text, or personal email right away it's not personal, it's because i fell into a hole of paralyzing anxiety, and when i do respond two months later, i would prefer to pretend everything is fine

it's wild that i get so anxious that for weeks at a time i can't fathom talking to a single friend, and yet i'm considered "high-functioning" because i respond quickly to work emails from strangers i guess
