Those who say that Narendra Modi doesn’t address press conference must watch this.
After mustering a lot of courage, he addressed a press conference once, he was asked 3 questions and see how he replied…😀
A journalist challenged Norway’s Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre on why India is called a democracy when Modi hasn’t held a press conference at home in 12 years. The Prime Minister defended India by pointing to its elections, while admitting the country has a very different media culture.
THIS IS PEAK WHATABOUTERY 🔥
REPORTER: Why should Norway trust India when fundamental rights are being violated?
MEA: We have Gandhi, ancient civilisation, and a Constitution that guarantees fundamental rights.
REPORTER 🎯: Exactly. I know India has fundamental rights. That is why I asked about violations.
MEA: If rights are violated, people can go to court. 😐
REPORTER: That’s the point. Why are people forced to go to court for basic rights?
MEA: It’s my press conference. I will decide.
REPORTER: When will PM take free questions from the press?
MEA: Next question.
Primeminister of India, Narendra Modi, would not take my question, I was not expecting him to.
Norway has the number one spot on the World Press Freedom Index, India is at 157th, competing with Palestine, Emirates & Cuba.
It is our job to question the powers we cooperate with.
Dear Ms @HelleLyngSvends,
The Embassy is organizing a press briefing on the Prime Minister’s Visit this evening at 9:30pm at hotel Raddisson BluPlaza hotel. You are most welcome to come and ask your questions there.
In India, people know there’s a shortage of hospitals — and that the government is responsible. Yet instead of demanding systemic reform, many turn to godmen for solutions.
When a preacher like Narendra Shastri starts collecting donations to build a hospital — with government support — people celebrate it. Because healthcare is scarce, and hope is powerful.
But here’s the contrast: Khan Sir in Bihar built a low-cost hospital offering tests and basic treatment for ₹5, ₹10, ₹20, ₹25 — without donation drives. An educated person earns through work and then serves society. An uneducated influencer collects money first, enjoys the spotlight, and later speaks of social welfare.
We’ve seen this before. Asaram Bapu. Gurmeet Ram Rahim. Both ran hospitals and camps. Both were later convicted of crimes society cannot accept.
The real issue isn’t who builds the hospital. It’s accountability.
If unemployment is “terrible,” who is responsible? If the government is “us,” and it’s failing — replace it. Streamline it. Don’t distract people with spectacle.
And if someone can predict your future from a slip of paper — why can’t they predict a bomb blast and save lives?
Healthcare, jobs, education — these are rights. Not miracles.
