Taehyung’s global fanbases have secured a dedicated corner for him at the Palace of Versailles (Château de Versailles), a historic royal residence in France visited by nearly 15 MILLION people each year.
This marks a historic first, as the French government-owned palace has never before dedicated a space in honor of an international personality.
OMG😭 Taehyung was featured in a news article in the Turkish newspaper "Hürriyet”
Kim Taehyung, the young lead singer of the South Korean music group BTS, which has taken the world by storm, created a marketing story that sold out its stock in just 13 seconds. Taehyung, who has 70 million followers, was so impressed by Tuvana chocolate offered to him by a Turkish taxi driver in Seoul that he went live on social media. The chocolate's producer, Kazım Taycı, was astonished. "Our distributor in Korea urgently requested 25 containers of Tuvana," he said. An extraordinary marketing story unfolded in Seoul, the capital of South Korea. The story itself lasted only 13 seconds, but its effects generated millions of dollars in revenue.
RESPONSE TO THE TURKISH DRIVER'S GESTURE
The protagonist of the story is V-Kim Taehyung, the star of the South Korean music group that has millions of young fans and has dominated music charts for many years. According to reports, Taehyung, who holds the Guinness World Record for the fastest time reaching 1 million followers on Instagram and currently has 70 million followers, got into a taxi in Seoul. The Turkish taxi driver recognized him and offered him some Turkish chocolate. However, he had no idea what was going to happen and how it would affect the chocolate's manufacturer. Touched by the taxi driver's gesture, the phenomenal artist liked the chocolate so much that he asked for a few more packages. Then, at a place he went to, he held the chocolates in his hands and did a live broadcast, saying, "They gave me Turkish chocolate as a Christmas present," and chaos ensued.
Just hours after the live broadcast, the Tuvana brand chocolates that Taehyung was holding were sold out in Seoul. Around 10 am, the Turkish manufacturer, Tayaş Gıda, received a phone call at their factory in Gebze. The caller was the main distributor in Korea. They told the company's owner from Konya, Kazım Taycı, "Something amazing has happened here. Drop everything you have and send 25 truckloads of Tuvana here immediately." After Taehyung's live broadcast, all his followers had already flooded the Tayaş Gıda account with messages and shared the broadcast. Taycı commented, "We've been active in Far Eastern markets for 20 years, but we've never experienced anything like this. We have seven distributors in Korea. The stocks ran out within hours of the live broadcast."
Taehyung became the face of a coffee brand last year, with a reported budget of $160 million. This spontaneous promotion is a major event for Tuvana. According to Taycı, the promotion of Turkey and Turkish chocolate has also mobilized the Korean embassy and consulate in Seoul.
EFFORTS TO REACH THE STAR
Taycı described the efforts of the last 24 hours as follows: “We have been trying to reach Taehyung since yesterday. But he is not easily accessible. We have sent him messages through all channels, inviting him to Turkey. We are waiting for news today. We have had huge packages prepared by distributors there. We are waiting in front of his house, workplace, and the places he frequents. We are calling out to Taehyung; ‘Since you liked Turkish chocolate, we can offer you whatever you want.’”
Taycı also emphasized that they are conducting a similar effort to reach the Turkish taxi driver who caused all this.
All it takes is a quick glance and the temperature of the room shifts. Kim Tae-Hyung, better known as V, is full of contradictions. https://t.co/T7iR9OU0Ea
