I visited Sigiriya Rock, Dambulla Caves, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Ella, Mirissa, Unawatuna, Galle and Colombo, thereby covering all 3 - cities, mountains and beaches of the country.

Skipped Jafna, Northern Sri Lanka and Trincomalee, maybe next time. 🤷‍♀️

The Avinya Foundation @avinya_f is pleased to announce our new program: A 11-month "Work Study Scholarship" where the students will get 3 certifications at the end (TVEC Level 3 Customer Service, City & Guilds Level 3 (equal to AL) Front Office Services and Avinya Empower Program) and will get paid while doing the program: Rs. 10,000/month for the first 5 months (full time at Avinya) and Rs. 15,000/month for the second 6 months (3 days at Avinya, 2 days practical experience).

Global Phase-outs of Gasoline Cars 🚗

⭕ As of 2024, 60 countries and territories around the world have set targets, signed pledges, or announced plans to phase out gasoline and diesel cars by a specific date.

⭕ This was set in 2017, during the era of Finance Minister Mangala Samaraweera.

In the same announcement, Sri Lanka pledged to:

- Phase out the government's fleet of diesel and petrol vehicles, including buses, by 2025, switching to electric or hybrid models.

⭕ We are 5 months away from 2025, and the EVs in the government vehicle fleet are almost non-existent.
