Respect is never a one-way street. If someone chooses to show disrespect, they cannot expect respect in return. No one is obligated to be holier than the priest.
As is the evil so is the remedy. Respect earns respect, and contempt invites consequences.
#StopAssaultOnBankers
The Government should take note: the demand for a 5-Day Banking Week is so dear to bankers that even at 13,859 ft, they carry that message and proudly unfurl its flag.

Banking sector can't thrive on profitability matrix alone. Its true success is when people feel respected, supported, & heard. Unions & management must foster a culture where mental health can be given importance, else, tragedies will continue & industry will keep on flourishing
@sanjaybpi Lack of clear advancement opportunities is one of the primary causes of voluntary turnover. When employees perceive inequity or favoritism in promotions, morale declines and trust erodes.
Lack of clear advancement opportunities is a leading cause of voluntary turnover, with many employees quitting due to perceived inequities & favouritism. A transparent and logical promotion process is essential to eliminate favoritism, build trust, and motivate employees.
A very pertinent observation by @TamalBandyo ji. Transparency in promotions is not merely an HR ideal—it is central to morale, credibility, and institutional integrity. When processes lack clarity and uniformity, it inevitably impacts motivation and trust at all levels.
As stakeholders in the system, we strongly believe that well-defined, objective, and transparent promotion frameworks are essential for sustaining both performance and fairness in all PSBs.
This is an area that deserves serious, system-wide introspection and reform.

Thanks to Madam Hon'ble FM for your advice to bankers which Officers' Association was repeatedly pursuing in last 2/3 years.Though very late but still your advice will instill some introspection within them. what Officers' Association thinks today others think tomorrow .
Indian Economy can't move an inch without PSBs : for that they don't want to keep Bankers out of sight. But Bankers assured to work daily 40 mnts more in lieu of 2 more Saturdays off. Even then what's the problem ? Make it clear to common bankers.

Today’s nationwide one-day strike under the banner of UFBU has been a resounding success, sending a loud, clear, and unmistakable message in support of our legitimate and long-pending demand for 5 Days Banking.
*On behalf of @aiboc_ms1 and @BOIOAMNG, we place on record our heartfelt gratitude and deep appreciation to all members who participated wholeheartedly in the strike and joined the rally in huge, disciplined, and spirited numbers, making the Dharna at the historic Azad Maidan, Mumbai, truly impactful and memorable.*
*The roaring and resolute presence of BOIOA Mumbai–Goa Unit members was particularly inspiring.* It reflected the unity, conviction, and unwavering solidarity of our cadre towards the common cause of 5 Days Banking, a commitment that has long remained pending despite repeated assurances.
*This collective action once again reaffirms an undeniable truth — unity is our greatest strength. At the same time, today also calls for quiet introspection by those who chose to remain indifferent*. Hard-fought and legitimate demands are not secured through passive expectation, but through shared resolve, active participation, and collective responsibility.
The struggle does not end here. If the Government continues to remain indifferent and fails to honour its commitment, we must be prepared for further, stronger, and more decisive agitational programmes.
Let us remain united, vigilant, and fully prepared.
Together, we shall succeed.
A strike is not confrontation or unpaid Holiday - it is a legitimate, democratic, and last resort to secure long pending and legitimate demand of #5DaysBanking#BankersOnStrike
Freedom & Right to live with dignity was not gifted to us ,it was earned with blood , tears, and endless sacrifices.
Nothing can be achieved without fight .Dear banker fight for your right #5DaysWeekForBankers
Fearlessly.
When you don't bother to practice what you preach ,all I can hear is hypocrisy.
#BankersDemand5DayWeek is agreed on paper long back .What is agreed on paper must be implemented in practice.
Bank employees are the backbone of India’s financial system, powering inclusion, safeguarding stability, and enabling growth.
Yet, they’re still denied a humane work–life balance.
A 5-day work week in the banking industry isn’t a “perk”, it’s a long-overdue necessity. The commitment has been made. Now it must be honoured.
Act now. Implement a 5-day week for bankers too, without delay.
#BankersDemand5DayWeek
Issue of implementation of the agreed demand of #Approve5DayBankingNow pending for more than a decade.Meanwhile 5 strike calls deferred on the basis of assurances given & MOU signed on 07.12.23.
Bankers' patience shouldn't be tested to the point where it breaks.
