I've never seen VAR get it more right than it did today.

On the disallowed goal, the stomp changes possession, and no Argentina player touches the ball before the goal. By the letter of the law, it's the correct decision.

As for the last-minute Salah incident, Álvarez clearly gets to the ball first. The ball is already out of Salah's possession before any contact occurs. More importantly, Álvarez isn't stomping on him. He clearly pulls his leg away.

Keep crying if it gives you peace. But football is just cruel at times. And it's completely alright to perceive it purely through your senses rather than through nuance. So I can understand why all these reactions are coming from all sides.

An FIR has been registered against six unknown policemen under Pune rural police for kidnapping four persons who were travelling from Pune to Lonavala in a car. The policemen stopped the car under the pretext of checking the vehicle and threatened the two boys and the couple friend from Dubai of filing a case if they fail to give Rs 5 lakh. They kept them in their custody for nearly seven hours and were not allowing them to communicate with anyone on phone. But one of the boy used his smart watch to send an emergency help message to a friend who contacted the police. Thanks to the intervention of @PCcityPolice the commissioner Mr Vinay Kumar Chaubey and his three DCPs who all swung into action and helped rescued the boys. Initially it was being felt that the kidnappers were some criminals but later it turned out that they were actually men in uniform!
