Decoding Aravallis' Controversy: Aravallis will not die because of the Supreme Court, they are already dying because of illegal mining.

B/w 1975 and 2019, 8% of the Aravalli hills vanished due to illegal mining, and studies warn this could rise to 22% by 2059. 1/4th of Rajasthan’s Aravalli hills have already disappeared. These are documented facts.

Not just that, Illegal mining has also taken human lives. In July 2022, DSP Surender Singh was killed on duty when a truck crushed him while he was investigating illegal stone mining in Nuh. This is the real cost of unregulated, mafia-driven mining!

SC's latest order has not deregulated mining. It has frozen new leases, ordered scientific mapping, and tightened control to stop illegal mining. So, it's very important to understand the judgment, to protect the Aravallis. And always read a thing in entirety before you panic!
