As we all know, Henry Nowak was brutally murdered by Vickrum Digwa, But the police bodycam footage is utterly damning.
Henry lay incapacitated on the ground, drowning in his own blood from 6 stab wounds.
He told officers “I’ve been stabbed” and screamed “I can’t breathe” 9 times, begging for an ambulance.
He posed zero threat.
Yet they handcuffed him anyway.
One officer grabbed him by the belt and dragged him across the gravel. Another dismissed his injuries with: “I don’t think you have mate.”
Only after reading him his rights did they realise he was dead.
UK police are trained to do better.
Their own First Aid Learning Programme requires at least 12 hours training + annual refreshers, including:
> 10-second triage to spot life-threatening injuries
> immediate management of catastrophic bleeding
> stab-wound protocols (check wounds, apply pressure, secure airway/breathing, call medics FIRST)
They should have treated Henry as a medical emergency the second he said he’d been stabbed and couldn’t breathe, not as a suspect.
First aid before arrest.
Life over everything.
Instead they believed Digwa’s wicked lie about a “racist attack” and arrested the dying victim.
This is a gross injustice.
Police failed their most basic duty: protect life.
They let a teenager bleed out in handcuffs while the real killer walked free with his story.
Hampshire Police have apologised and the IOPC is investigating, but that doesn’t bring Henry back.
