केंद्र सरकार द्वारा एक बार फिर ग्रेटर नोएडा वेस्ट मेट्रो की डीपीआर (विस्तृत परियोजना रिपोर्ट) को निरस्त किए जाने से नाराज निवासियों ने आज सेक्टर-71 चौराहे के समीप नोएडा एक्सटेंशन की ओर जाने वाले अंतिम मेट्रो पिलर के पास जोरदार प्रदर्शन किया। इस प्रदर्शन का आयोजन नेफोवा (NEFOWA) द्वारा किया गया, जिसमें सैकड़ों की संख्या में स्थानीय रेसिडेंट्स ने भाग लिया।

प्रदर्शन के दौरान लोगों ने अनोखे तरीके से अपना विरोध दर्ज कराते हुए मोटी रस्सी से मेट्रो पिलर को खींचकर नोएडा एक्सटेंशन की ओर ले जाने का प्रतीकात्मक प्रयास किया। प्रदर्शनकारियों का कहना है कि बार-बार डीपीआर निरस्त होने से क्षेत्र के लाखों निवासियों में भारी निराशा है।

नेफोवा अध्यक्ष @abhishek_nefowa ने बताया कि “ग्रेटर नोएडा वेस्ट के निवासियों के साथ लगातार अन्याय हो रहा है। बार-बार डीपीआर निरस्त करना बेहद दुर्भाग्यपूर्ण है। लाखों लोगों की रोजमर्रा की परेशानियों को नजरअंदाज किया जा रहा है। हम सरकार से मांग करते हैं कि मेट्रो परियोजना को जल्द से जल्द मंजूरी देकर कार्य शुरू किया जाए।”

प्रदर्शन में शामिल निवासियों ने बताया कि वे रोजाना भीषण ट्रैफिक जाम से जूझते हैं, जबकि क्षेत्र में सार्वजनिक परिवहन की कोई ठोस व्यवस्था नहीं है। पिछले 10 वर्षों से मेट्रो को लेकर केवल वादे किए जा रहे हैं, लेकिन जमीनी स्तर पर कोई प्रगति नजर नहीं आ रही।‌आज के प्रदर्शन में शामिल लोगों ने जमकर नारेबाजी की तथा केंद्र एवं राज्य सरकार से गुहार लगाया कि मेट्रो हमारी आवश्यकता है और इसे अब और ज्यादा विलंब किए बिना कार्य शुरू होना चाहिए।

आज सभी निवासियों ने एकजुट होकर चेतावनी दी है कि यदि जल्द ही मेट्रो परियोजना को स्वीकृति नहीं दी गई, तथा कार्य शुरू नहीं हुआ तो आंदोलन को और तेज किया जाएगा। इसके अलावा 26 अप्रैल को हजारों की संख्या में निवासी दिल्ली के जंतर मंतर पर प्रदर्शन करेंगे।

ग्रेटर नोएडा वेस्ट की जनता पिछले 10 वर्षों से मेट्रो की राह तक रही है, लेकिन यह परियोजना केंद्र और राज्य सरकारों के बीच फुटबॉल बनकर अटकी हुई है। रूट में तीन-चार बार बदलाव हो चुके हैं, डीपीआर तैयार होकर भी मंजूरी के इंतजार में पड़ी है।
लाखों निवासी रोजाना ट्रैफिक जाम, महंगे ऑटो-कैब और समय की बर्बादी झेल रहे हैं, जबकि अन्य इलाकों में मेट्रो को प्राथमिकता मिल रही है।

ग्रेटर नोएडा वेस्ट की जनता अब और इंतजार नहीं कर सकती, क्योंकि रोजाना दिल्ली-नोएडा-गुरुग्राम आने-जाने वाले लोग भारी परेशानी में हैं।
इसलिए केंद्र सरकार से विनम्र लेकिन दृढ़ अनुरोध है कि ग्रेटर नोएडा वेस्ट मेट्रो कॉरिडोर को जल्द से जल्द मंजूरी प्रदान की जाए ताकि काम शुरू हो सके। यह परियोजना न केवल ट्रैफिक कम करेगी, बल्कि क्षेत्र की अर्थव्यवस्था, रोजगार और जीवन स्तर को भी बढ़ावा देगी।
जनता की पुकार सुनिए और इस लंबे इंतजार को अब समाप्त कीजिए।।

Many people got into Gold and Silver over the last two months.
There would be leveraged bets driven by the sharp increases in Gold and Silver prices every week.
The melt down of Jan 29th/30th would have hurt these positions.
The long term investors that are the Indian households will just keep holding on.
But let us keep the discourse measured and avoid the
"I told you so" tones of talking down to those who were caught in levered trades and are sitting on unsustainable losses.
The Gold and Silver trades are not over if you have staying power and avoid leverage.
The underlying trends of central bank buying, debasement of fiat currencies, governments running fiscal deficits and living far beyond their means, of the EV/AI/Renewables demand for Silver, all those trends stay intact.
If you have the capacity to hold, keep your 10-15% portfolio allocation to Gold and Silver intact.
No one can really forecast where the price goes.
But there is considerably less Gold and Silver supplied than the demand.
Will investor demand peter off now?
Maybe to some extent , there will be a negative,recency effect.
Time to be humble, to be polite to those suffering losses and to stay invested for the long term.
Central banks, debasement, dedollarisation, industrial use, lack of new supply, all are still working.
What changed was that 2 months of gains went up in flames in 2 days of selling, which was unexpected.
Markets have such moves .
Hardly anyone can predict these moves.
Conspiracy theories point to large institutions causing these cuts. We dont know, and we wont know, so why waste time and effort on that.
If you can hold a position of 10-15% of your portfolio, quietly hold it. If the fall worries you too much, liquidate on Monday.
I am still very underinvested in Gold and Silver, being a stock market follower.
And a downturn can be prolonged . But, if you hold for a decently long period, you will make satisfactory returns in Gold and Silver.
Relook at your Asset Allocation and recaliberate incremental flows from Monday as per your financial goals.
Rest is just noise .
