Mystery Stone Pelting Terrorises Nainital Neighbourhood for 11 Nights, No Culprit Found

Every night at 8 pm, the stones start falling. Nobody knows where they come from. Nobody has been caught.

For the past 10 to 11 nights, residents of the Zila Panchayat and Upper Mall Road area in Nainital have been living in fear. Stones begin raining down on rooftops every night at around 8 pm and continue until midnight or 1 am. The source remains unidentified.

Police registered the complaint and conducted two nights of combing operations in the forest area above the neighbourhood, from where the stones are suspected to be thrown. No suspect was found. SI Shyam Bora of Kotwali Nainital confirmed the search operations are ongoing.
