I’m COMPLETELY with you on this because Brand New Day finally lets Peter have that sharp, unapologetic edge to his personality. 😭
He doesn't just politely disagree with Frank. He mocks his arrogance, questions his decisions and has absolutely no problem letting Frank know when he thinks he's being an idiot. 💀
And the funniest part is that Peter isn't doing it because he's trying to be some edgy badass. He's genuinely funny in that very Peter Parker way, sarcastic, irritating and just acidic enough to get under someone's skin.
I also love that his morals are what give him the confidence to stand up to Frank. Peter knows exactly who Frank is and what he's capable of, but he's still like, “Yeah, and you're wrong.”
That's SUCH an important part of Peter Parker.
He can be compassionate without being naive. He can care about someone without agreeing with them. And he can believe in saving everyone while simultaneously roasting the hell out of a grown man with a gun. 😭
Honestly, Tom absolutely nailed the balance here. Peter feels older and more hardened by everything he's been through, but the humor, the stubbornness and that deeply rooted belief that there has to be a better way are still completely intact.
THIS is the Peter Parker personality I've been waiting to see from Tom Holland.
U gotta see how frank eventually got fed up of him attempting self-harm on his co,ck and said fuck nah im going to do u good and slow and tender out of spite like hell yeah. i love when Peter is a mess and a miserable brat and Frank love him but still can be cruel about it
