As part of #TrusteesWeek we’re highlighting our fantastic volunteers.
From trustees to administrators, retail volunteers to community action volunteers – each person plays a vital part in our mission to save lives across the North West.
This 'Government by gimmick' approach is reckless in the extreme. New oil & gas licences won't improve energy security or cut energy bills, but they will wreck our climate & lead to Govt handing over billions in tax breaks to mega-rich fossil fuel giants.

I quit as an officer of ESG APPG earlier this year when I learned that their funders included arms companies & law-breaking accountancy firms. If the Parliamentary group for ethical business is worth its name, it should review its sponsorships immediately

Today a small number of people in North Wales and Chester who simply wanted to help other people, turned up, they opened up, put out chairs, signs, hoovered up, put the kettle on, steamed, ironed, folded up, priced up and then welcomed…
In Mold those people raised £822.50 by selling items that other kind and generous people had donated to help them, and in Chester those people raised £539.00 by serving delicious lattes, hot chocolates, cakes and sandwiches, as well as selling items that other people had kindly donated there to.
Meanwhile another small number of kind and generous people arrived at Chester Racecourse to collect 1,000 packed meals donated by more kind people who wanted the meals from the cancelled races to be used to help other people who are struggling at the moment.
Between them this group of local people raised £1,361.50 and fed 1,000 people, the reason for wanting to tell you this tonight, is because if you watch the news this evening, you would be forgiven for thinking that kindness and love for each other had vanished, but it hasn’t, it is very much alive and well here at SHARE in Chester and North Wales and you are welcome to join us ♥️ #PeaceAndLove to you all have a great weekend!

https://t.co/NeYDBL9kmy This is nothing less than it deserves! Well done to everyone who made it happen especially @richardbeacham @weezegee and others @Go_CheshireWest past & present, and not least all of the stall holders at the old market who ignited a buzz again for food at the market which has transferred across to the new market 👏🏻 @StileNapoletano@NiceBitesDeva@ThatBeerPlaceHQ@CheeseWedgeCo@GeoffHughes61@fishforchester
you all played a huge part, congratulations on all your successes too! @newchestermkt
North West Air Ambulance paramedic's specialist helmet stolen - sheer stupidity - a valuable emergency response taken offline by kids wanting to play fancy dress 🤬 https://t.co/AD0pyp7kKD
Some common sense and decency from Caroline Nokes MP. If only she could persuade more of her colleague in the Tory party leadership. Many of them see these awful Culture War ideas as a last, desperate Hail Mary pass to the right wing tabloids. @PoliticsJOE_UK
Happy 210th birthday to the Orcadian surgeon and explorer Dr John Rae, born #onthisday in 1813. Among his many achievements Rae discovered the final link in the Northwest Passage and the fate of the Franklin Expedition which disappeared in 1845 near King William Island in Canada.
