Back in 2014/15 a senior doctor was murdered in a public sector hospital Islamabad. We being the reps of young doctors demanded the opds be shut down at least as a token of protest. Guess what one of the senior doctors a very well known consultant a colleague the deceased stood up against us saying ,quote unquote " I am going to do the opd come what may". In routine he was hardly seen in OPD. Patients would wait for months to see him. Predicament of seniors.
