@JEChalmers@60Mins@9NewsAUS This is just more tax. And it’s killing small business and consumer confidence, which leads to less spending and employment. You need to slow this down and re-think your agenda
@SkyNewsAust Met an NDIS worker that works nights. Makes dinner. Then sleeps. Then makes breakfast, and hands over to day staff. Person self-cares otherwise. For an adult with ADHD. Surely there is a more cost-effective solution than 24/7 care for meals?? @AlboMP@Mark_Butler_MP
@Ryandally08 My house - same value 2000-2020. Then it doubled from 2020-2024. Not due to a sudden change in CGT/negative gearing laws. But because of migration and inflation. These new tax changes won’t make houses more affordable. Reduced migration and inflation will.
@JEChalmers@abcnews My house same value 2003-2020. Then doubled 2020-2024. Increase coincided with migration and inflation, NOT a CGT/negative gearing change. Your plans are a tax grab. Curb your spending. And address migration.
@FinancialReview He’s destroying the livelihoods of millions of hard-working business owners, to facilitate 75,000 people buying homes (the equivalent of 3 weeks of immigration arrivals). It’s a tax cash grab - it has nothing to do with housing
@AlanKohler@abcnews The NDIA, an independent body managing the NDIS, added 40% to the price of services recommended by their own costing panel, which includes Endeavour staff (a private company). Government-led independent bodies are good for who? @abc730@SkyNewsAust@australian

@JEChalmers You lied. You are taking an extra $80 billion in tax revenue from Australians. And only paying $5/week back to working Australians. How is this beneficial to us? Please explain @SkyNewsAust@abc730@australian
@Ryandally08 Just remember everyone. These measures will take $80 billion in extra tax from us. On top of all of the other tax that we pay. They’ve offered a $5/week reduction in our income tax though (total cost of which is $6 billion). So…. we, the people, are losing $74 billion…
Because nobody would invest in these foolish energy projects otherwise!
Labor says ordinary Australians need to lose their CGT discount and pay more tax on investment gains to help with inequality, yet foreign capital investing into renewable energy projects still gets a 50% concession to keep the money flowing in.
Anyone with functional grey matter knows if these projects were commercially viable on their own merits, governments wouldn’t need to preserve special tax treatment for foreign investors while reducing incentives for Australians trying to build wealth themselves.
Australians are entitled to ask whether the system is now being designed around attracting multinational capital rather than rewarding local productivity, ownership and investment. Labor have got to go.
