@AshwiniVaishnaw (Railway Minister), @PMOIndia, and @consumer_vce.
Shocking logic from @RailMinIndia. AGM NFR admits their system was not ready for Vande Bharat pet bookings, but refuses to refund the penalty. Basically: 'Our system failed, so we will fine the passenger.' Is this the New India digital vision? @drm_lmg_nfr@RailwaySeva
Official Complaint: System Failure & Unfair Pet Fine @RailwaySeva@RailMinIndia @drm_lmg @EasternRailway@AshwiniVaishnaw
PNR: 6826520853 | Train: Vande Bharat Sleeper (Kamakhya-HWH) Journey Date: 17th February 2026
Kamakhya Parcel Office refused booking—claimed "Train/Facility not in system" for pet booking.
IRCTC Website pet booking facility was non-functional, throwing repeated errors.
Held Full 1AC Cabin (4 berths), Vet certificates, & attempted all official channels.
Despite this, TTE fined me ₹1770. This is a penalty for your technical lags. I demand a full refund of the fine.

Update: Since the initial resolution was contradictory, I have filed a formal Appeal with the Nodal Appellate Authority. Ref: MORLY/E/A/26/0002410. The Railways has already admitted the system gap for PNR 6826520853; I am now seeking a refund of the unjust penalty. @drm_lmg_nfr@RailwaySeva@RailMinIndia
@RailMadad@drm_lmg_nfr@RailMinIndia. My complaint 2026021803083 was closed directing me to email CRIS. Despite 3 emails, no response or refund. DRM has already admitted the Vande Bharat Sleeper integration failure. Please ensure the refund of ₹1685 (EFT PL 83057468) is processed immediately. #PassengerGrievance"
This is with reference to the recent incident regarding the non-availability of information for online booking of pets (Dogs/Cats) in the Parcel Management System (PMS). We regret the inconvenience caused. The coaches of the newly launched Vande Bharat Sleeper trains which feature several innovative facilities, were not initially integrated into the PMS, as these trains do not provide a general parcel booking facility. However, upon reporting of the issue, the matter was taken up with the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS) and the online pet booking facility has been now incorporated into the PMS system to facilitate our esteemed passengers.
We appreciate your patience and cooperation in this matter🙏
Thank you for the acknowledgement and for fixing the system for future passengers @drm_lmg. As this confirms the issue was a technical lag on the Railways' end, I have emailed the details to CRIS/PMS as directed by RailMadad (Ref: 2026021803083). Requesting your support to ensure the ₹1685 penalty (EFT PL 83057468) is refunded promptly. 🙏

Then perhaps the ruling party might stop this fatuous game of changing names.
Going to Kolkata or coming back to Cal.. For a reunion of friends from @ttindia when it started 40 years ago. Where it all began. Loved this city once. Could’ve been home. Terribly excited & a bit unsure. How have we aged? Can we still be friends? #TT@40 #OhCalcutta!
