John 10:27 "My sheep hear my voice." Jesus is the authority, and his teachings are contained in the writings of his Apostles. There doesn't need to be anything between that and us, in Heaven we will sit on the throne with Christ and even the Angels will serve us. Rev 21-22 note ekklēsiais is pluralized.
@InfinityChatz@TheFl0orIsLaVa@Capblyatbeard Yeah I was able to get around pretty well with just my English, but I always feel so bad when someone greets me in Eesti and I have to tell them I only speak English 😭
It is relevant because it's the consequence of the Catholic teaching which ties our salvation to our own merit.
This is a good question though, Paul isn't using the word "reward" the way the Catholic church teaches. The use of the word reward is talking about a reward out of grace not out of debt in other words it's unearned. We know this because he refers to it as an inheritance, which is something given to us by birthright to the elect as they are considered children of God.
Paul refers to this inheritance earlier in 1:12 by saying it's God who qualifies us for this inheritance, and also Romans 4:4-5 affirms that our inheritance (which is a result of being justified and becoming children of God) comes only from our faith (and remember faith our faith is given to us by God).
@TheFl0orIsLaVa@Capblyatbeard I've been to Estonia, I love Estonia, I could claim my Estonian citizenship by blood, but learning the language is a huge hurdle
@AJNlive@HarrisonHSmith@NickJFuentes It's nice to see that he's taking it in good stride and laughing about it, although Harrison you were being a simp 😂
@CatholicSuDanim@needGod_net You don't have to explicitly say it but that's the implication of the Catholic beliefs.
You have to be more specific because I believe I've already laid out my argument that our salvation is not a reward.
@RealAlexJones Simp culture has been compounding over many generations. I don't blame the Gen Xers and such like Alex because they were molded by it too. Right now we're just living in the logical conclusion of the mindset that are parents generation and their parents and so forth had.
The point of contention you brought up was that you must continue to do things after regeneration. If you're a Catholic you believe that by committing a mortal sin like skipping Sunday Mass means you fall out of good standing with God and forfeit your salvation until and if you go to Confession.
Which in others words is believing that the sacrifice Jesus made did not fully pay for you sins, you must actually do this other thing (Confession) to regain your standing with God.

@surmatants@needGod_net I agree with your first sentence. But we still have to use the key. I’m not claiming we made the key, but that by God’s grace he made it possible for us to use it. That doesn’t sound like trusting in oneself but in God because he promised it to us.
@Tokyo_pi1 First Blood was amazing but the sequels are mostly garbage. The story makes more sense that he dies as it was in the book but that's not always the best way to make more money.
