I haven’t engaged with this topic in a while but this one jumped out. You doubt we “like” our country? The place our grandparents and great grandparents built that has provided us with so many examples of the best humanity has to offer? You doubt we aren’t stirred by our own history, traditions and symbols? Do you think we aren’t human? We love our country in a way that is probably unique globally. Many of us are citizens of the world, but there is nothing like being home on Canadian soil. As the kids say it just hits different.
