السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
Everyone, but more specifically Freshers! 🚨
We have compiled all the MUST-HAVE knowledge in a guide for a Muslim student at Surrey.
Keep this post close as you learn the path to the prayer room, get to grips with the Halal spots in Guildford, learn duas that will assist you with your academic life (and life in general) and look forward to the years’ upcoming events!
@Aspirer55 Walaikum asalam, our ISOC is really special, and we have a lot of members from all backgrounds Alhamdulillah.
We hold many events and sports the year.
We would say that studying at university is a step up in difficulty in comparison to A levels. Feel free to message us!
It’s very important to remind ourselves that Allah is the best of planners and this path in life was written for you.
May Allah SWT put baraqah and goodness in the upcoming year - Ameen
If you have any questions or concerns at all please feel free to drop us a message🙌🏽
We know that entering University can be very stressful at first, so we would like to give you the chance to make new friends, attend our events and strengthen your imaan insha’Allah
Don’t worry if you did not get your expected outcome from your results.
And providing cash assistance to families, all of which are desperately needed.
Please help in whatever way you can, no donation is too small, and don't forget to share with friends and family!

On this blessed day of Ashura, we wanted to share with you our fundraiser. This summer, our ISOC will be raising money for Palestine, with Human Aid UK and Play for Palestine.
For many years in Palestine, there has been large-scale population displacement, shortages of water and electricity, environmental health hazards and loss of income.
Your donations will go towards emergency care packages, medical aid and hospital support.
Eid Mubarak from Surrey Islamic Society!
We hope you have a day full of nothing but blessings and love surrounded by your family and friends.
May the good deeds and habits we have developed over the past few months carry on to allow us to please Allah SWT.
Ameen ❤️
May Allah help us among those who make the most of these blessed ten days and accept our good deeds from us.
Ameen ❤️
The Day of ‘Arafah will fall on the 27th of June this year, while Eid-ul-Adha will be on the next day - Wednesday the 28th of June, Insha Allah.
السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
The best 10 days of the year are upon us, Alhamdulillah!
Dhul Hijjah is the final month of the Islamic calendar.
So here’s a guide which we’ve made which can help Insha’Allah!
The 9th day of Dhúl Hijjah is known as the Day of 'Arafah. It is Sunnah to fast on this day.
The Prophet said:
"I hope from Alläh that fasting on the Day of 'Arafah may atone for the sins of the preceding and the coming year."
[Sahih Muslim 1162]
السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
Eid Mubarak
We hope you have a day full of nothing but blessings and love surrounded by your family and friends.
May Allah SWT accept all our fasts and supplications and may this Ramadan be a means of continuing our nearness to Allah SWT.
Ameen
Staying healthy and taking care of our well-being in Ramadan is essential in giving us the strength and motivation to perform our Ibadah (worship) for Allah SWT. Insha’Allah, we can all achieve better health this Ramadan and can continue that afterwards as well.
جزاك الله خيرًا
