Congress is not in power right now because people joined hands against corruption, women’s safety and such issues during UPA II.
BJD in Odisha is not in power because the party leadership stopped listening to the people.
Questioning the government doesn’t mean you’re a supporter of another party. It is a message to the government & party in power to start listening to the people before it’s too late.
What do you think?
The Delhi Police striking a protester on the head with a lathi amounts to attempted murder,
It is condemnable and strict action must be taken against the guilty police personnel.
This is not crowd management, it is a brutal assault.
This is utterly appalling. Even in the days of the JP Movement leading up to the Emergency, there was no bar by the @UnivofDelhi on students joining any of his protests, and a couple of members of my Union Cabinet at St Stephen’s, including the late Chandan Mitra, openly did so.
If one of India’s foremost public universities is allowed to threaten its students and faculty with significant consequences if they attend a protest, it has a chilling effect on democratic speech and expression. Most DU students are not so privileged as to ignore such a sternly-worded warning without fearing that their academic or professional prospects might suffer if they attended the protest.
A university is meant to teach critical thinking and independent assessment of issues, not to stifle these very qualities. Shame on those at the @UnivofDelhi who saw fit to issue such a tweet. They are unworthy of holding any position at an institution of higher learning in a democracy.
The government is rewarding corruption instead of ensuring accountability!
Last night, the Education Secretary was transferred. He was replaced by an IAS officer from the Animal Husbandry Department who has severe multi-crore corruption charges against him.
The entire crisis around paper leaks and NEET was about systemic corruption. Replacing one bureaucrat with another facing serious corruption allegations is a direct INSULT to young people across India.
Is this the "compromise" the government expects us to accept? This is not accountability. We will not stop until Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan resigns ✊
🚨 JANTAR MANTAR IS A PROTEST SITE, NOT A DIGITAL OPEN-AIR PRISON! 🛑
Delhi Police has stationed Facial Recognition Vans to live-scan peaceful protesters. They are harvesting biometrics and extracting personal data on the spot—and we have three direct questions for the administration:
❌ UNDER WHAT LAW IS THIS LEGAL?
Supreme Court ruled that Privacy is a Fundamental Right (Puttaswamy case). Mass-scanning citizens exercising their legal right to protest is unconstitutional.
📂 WHERE IS THIS DATA COMING FROM?
How are these AI systems identifying youth live on site? Are national databases, Aadhaar records, and public registries being illegally cross-matched to turn citizens into targets?
⚠️ HOW WILL THIS DATA BE WEAPONISED?
Who stores these facial scans? How long will they be kept? Are secret registries being built to shadow-ban, intimidate, and target students for demanding accountability?
Former BJP President and Education Minister of India Dr. Murli Manohar Joshi Statement:
“It is painful to see young students from different parts of the country assembled for days on the streets of New Delhi. Their anxieties and concerns regarding the examination system are genuine and must be handled with empathy and a desire to find a lasting solution.
I fervently hope that this is not treated merely as a law-and-order issue to be tackled through the use of force. It is very painful to see that even young girls were brutally mishandled.
Such use of force shall alienate large sections of Indian society from the national goal of Viksit Bharat.”
Meaning…every policy eventually affects every citizen. Polity decides policy and that decides how the nation is run. Eventually everything is politics. Indifference is dangerous.
If nothing is more important than welfare of the youth then you wouldn't have spoken so late Modi ji. That too just because the nation is now boiling. You would have taken action when this happened. You would have moved things when the kids died. Fast track courts were set up during Nirbhaya too. But our girls continue to be raped & murdered. There's no justice. Please move a bit away from winning states and open your eyes to the how people of this country are losing lives. Dharmendra Pradhan needs to be accountable to you also and the country also. Do the right thing at least now please above Politics.
Wow! Our Honourable Courts have time to hear whether CJP is foreign funded (with ZERO evidence of this) but no time to watch videos of Monday’s violence against students? Said this before: STOP THE CONSPIRACY THEORIES, YUVA KI AAWAZ SUNO! 🙏
Proud of this kid. He seems amazing. Humbly, It feels like your channel is exploiting him to invalidate other kids. Maybe the next time a bridge collapses you could interview someone who took a longer route to work and got promoted. Instead of engineers or people under it.
INTERESTING: Dont forget it took the CJI’s reference to the word “cockroach” to finally trigger youth protests. Now when videos of students allegedly being beaten or dragged were cited, the court says it has no time to watch them. Makes you wonder: what does our justice system choose to prioritise? 🙏
A "janta darbar" is being held at Jantar Mantar. If ministers want to talk, they must come to the people.
When @DelhiPolice invited us to Minister JP Nadda’s residence today, we categorically declined. We are not going to anyone’s closed doors or private homes.
If security is a concern, we are open to a neutral venue near Jantar Mantar. But the government must show genuine intent to ACCEPT our demands, not waste our time with meaningless photo-ops.
Thousands of students are here on the streets. Show real intent or face the people’s court! ✊🔥
It's time every cop on law and order duty wears a body camera. This would be a natural and principled extension of the Supreme Court order on CCTV in every corner of the police station.
Use tax payers money for the safety of citizens. Hold cops accountable. Make Body Cameras mandatory for all cops.
Lets use tech for citizens freedom not state surveillance
As a former President of Utkal University, and as someone who has had the privilege of being an alumnus of Ravenshaw University, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), and Utkal University, I was shocked and deeply saddened to witness the merciless treatment of young people and students demanding changes in their country's education system.
As the former Chief Minister of Odisha and President of the Biju Janata Dal (BJD), Sri Naveen Patnaik, rightly said:
“Issues raised by the youth should not be met with silence or violence. They need healthy dialogue.”

“DCP - @abhijeet_dipke” Interaction
Police ignored basics of peaceful protest management. When u Isolate leadership of protestors, the crowd becomes directionless.
Then Internet was shutdown and protestors stopped getting any information from organisers. This added to chaos.
This is what police deliberately did at Jantar Mantar CJP protest.
Then this DCP destroyed the very loudspeaker system through which Dipke was communicating & managing the crowd. And Everyone became clueless.
He is the same DCP Lamba who was caught on camera slapping the girl. Look at his body language & conduct, he himself is enough to instigate protestors.
Unacceptable abuse of power.
Additional DCP Sandeep Lamba must be suspended immediately for hitting a female protester. High-ranking officers should be held to higher standards, not given impunity.
