Too many people have been conditioned and desensitized to captivity, as if suffering is somehow acceptable when it is hidden behind glass. I’m not saying everyone sees it this way, but far too many still fail to confront the cruelty in front of them. Very concerning 🐘🐬

A zoo cannot profit from captivity and then use the damage captivity caused as justification for more captivity.
Lucy’s suffering is not a reason to preserve the system that caused it. Captivity created the damage, so the zoo has a moral duty to fix what it started.

Concrete enclosures and glass walls can never replicate the complexity of a natural ecosystem.
