Some immediate steps I believe that all trans people should take:
- Get your passport. Today. It takes time to come in and this will likely be shut down under Trump.
- Update every ID your state allows you to.
- Make sure you have a supply of medication in case of disruption
.@POTUS is right. The cost of care is far too high.
“No American should have to choose between a parent that raised them, a child that depends on them, or a paycheck they need.”
We need to invest in care and #TheCareEconomy, because #CareCantWait.
"My budget would finally, finally create a national paid family and medical leave program. It's time America caught up with the rest of the world. It helps families and it grows the economy. We can afford to do it and we can't afford not to do it." @POTUS#TheCareEconomy
"Care workers and caregivers are critical to our families and to the entire economy. If we want the best economy in the world, we have to have the best caregiving economy in the world!" @POTUS#TheCareEconomy
"Wayne LaPierre has pushed an agenda that has cost countless lives, fueled armed extremism, and endangered our communities. His legacy will be one of corruption, mismanagement, and destruction.
The trial begins on Monday. #Thoughtsandprayers to Wayne LaPierre and the NRA."
Wayne LaPierre just announced his resignation after more than 30 years as CEO of the NRA and just three days before he stands trial in a case brought by @NewYorkStateAG for alleged financial mismanagement and self-dealing.
LaPierre’s alleged financial misconduct included $274,000 in spending at a high-end Italian clothing boutique in Beverly Hills, a luxury trip on a mega yacht to the Bahamas for him and his wife three days after the mass shooting at Sandy Hook School, and approximately $2 million on private flights in just one year, among other lavish expenses on the NRA’s dime.
For years, Wayne LaPierre has pushed an agenda that has cost countless lives, fueled armed extremism, and endangered our communities. His legacy will be one of corruption, mismanagement, and destruction.
The trial begins on Monday. Thoughts and prayers to Wayne LaPierre and the NRA.

Did you know that since joining the @USWNT in 2006, Megan Rapinoe has scored 63 goals, making her one of the top USWNT scorers of all time?
Happy birthday to @mPinoe, a star on and off the field, @WhenWeAllVote Co-Chair, and a passionate advocate for LGBTQIA2S+ rights!
Our channels will be quieter than usual this week because Team USOW is logging off to spend some well-deserved time out of office.
We’re grateful for this opportunity to pause, but angry that rest has become a privilege rather than a right.
The student debt crisis disproportionately impacts Black and brown women and gender-expansive borrowers. This decision reverses what would have been life-changing relief for borrowers burdened by a broken student loan system. #StudentDebtIsAGenderIssue
One year ago today, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson was sworn into office as the first Black woman to serve on the Supreme Court.
This appointment was, and will continue to be remembered as a critical, overdue turning point for representation for Black women and girls everywhere.
Before you begin your thinkpiece, the Supreme Court DID NOT strike down Affirmative Action
Admission preferences for legacies, donors, employee families and special recommendations are still allowed
The Court struck down Affirmative Action For everyone except WHITE PEOPLE
The first #Pride was a riot. Today marks the 54th anniversary of the Stonewall riots, which were in response to NYC police raiding the Stonewall Inn, a gay club in Greenwich Village in New York City.
