@glenn_tunes Well shoot...good ol' Mt St Helens was ahead of her time in 1980 when she decided to blow off her top & her ENTIRE NORTH SIDE. Thankfully this "cement the top" idea isn't remotely feasible or we'd see more volcanos blowing off their sides... along w/ some puny cement "plug". Lol
@guinevereanne@shwetakadkol @Melb0urne__82 @BigFish3000 There were a lot of inflatable pool toys thrown. I'm not a huge soccer fan do I couldn't tell which teams were playing in the video but perhaps they were in southern hemphere and in summer time at Xmas. Those toys could go to local public pools for all to use.
@lilycatsmum@thechek182@CanuckleGame #4 are decoys...there to distract folks away from the much tastier ones! And later to be sad leftovers for those late to the meeting
@KenCCheng@liftblog Whistler already has 1 or 2 staff watching the scan accuracy already. So they will become more engaged in scanning. Stevens Pass ski resort does this, works fine.
@windanski @Travelbyintent @liftblog Oh they absolutely are checking at Whistler. They have employees at each base lift and Excalibur gondola mid Station with iPad watching each scan through. They're matching your face to the pass' photo. Hopefully it leads to better line management, less empty seats!
@JT30873183@susaninseattle1@pawpawchief@GovInslee@secstatewa Your statement got me curious so I did a quick Google research. Vote by mail was first introduced in 1983. 1984 was last time WA voted for a republican president. HOWEVER, WA didn't switch to ONLY vote by mail until 2011. (And zero legal challenges of it)
@panyvino21@theveryvery@GuyDealership He doesn't own it at all. A lease is just a long term rental. At the end of the lease (2 yrs in this case), he will have to return the car and will have nothing. Some leases allow the person to buy the car at a "discounted price" but some don't allow it at all.
@theveryvery@Pneuma87@PabloSoicy@GuyDealership You're forgetting to factor in the $8,000 deposit the guy put down. So at $600/month lease plus the $8K deposit, it's actually costing him $22,400 over two years.
@WhiteDogBabe@KIRO7Seattle Curious, did you read the article at all? This ban applies to public areas. It's directed at city governments and areas like parks, government owned property. No impact on private property nor is ban directed as private citizens.
@JeffHJR87@SnoqualmiePass Interesting. So 28,000 vehicles go through the pass daily. You say 2.1% are involved in an accident of some kind. That's 588 accidents! That's not an acceptable number!!
@SummitSnow411 That's fantastic! I can't wait to ride it this weekend!
Shame we ONLY get weekends to ride it. How about running Summit East more, like Fri to Monday?? And bring back the night skiing!! Hyak was amazing for night skiing in the 90s!!
@scottabe@StormSkiJournal Green Valley is now open at Crystal. And on Sunday they plan to start running Forest Queen and Rainier Express. So hopefully (if all goes as planned and the snow keeps dumping) we'll have 7 lifts to use on Monday!
