A Pacific jet extension will roar across the Pacific in late October, bringing the potential for a strong atmospheric river in the Pacific Northwest and possibly Northern California.

@SteveCoville I was a long distance telephone operator in the 90s. When calling MOST countries the first thing we had to say was ‘this is Canada calling…’ If the overseas operators heard English being spoken they assumed an American was calling and they would disconnect the call immediately!
