Was great to get outside yesterday for our first work party this winter & hear everyone chatting away as we raked the meadow. Great for body, soul & butterflies! Thanks to everyone that braved the drizzle & to @Skylarkfermyn for the yummy flapjacks π@jpwildman @BedsNthantsBC

A great walk at Weldon Woodland Park yesterday, with the moth traps a great hit. 13 Concolorous (one of our rare moths) in one trap was a real highlight. The sun appeared at the end, just in time for spotting another rarity, the Liquorice Piercer @savebutterflies@RForestVision

The emergence of a Chequered Skipper from one of our pupae from Belgium. Amazing to watch, although it was a bit camera shy, deciding to perch on the opposite side of the stick most of the time! ππ¦ @savebutterflies@BedsNthantsBC@bc_cambs_essex @ukbutterflies
