**No need to seed**. In all of these photos, degraded, formerly farmed ground, recovered itself, quickly, with a species-rich flora with no seeding. Nature did it. Local genetics. Local specialities & rarities. No cost. Something to think on...
These were 95-year old oaks from a plantation in #Fineshade Wood. "The Assarts" area has just been thinned with most of the best trees left to grow on. These magnificent trunks will now go up for auction and some may end up as furniture. @ForestryEngland@ForestryComm
