@mattroe78 @TrenchTrotter Exactly. If they actually contained a poison, they could have 'Poison' stamped onto them, but for some kind of medication you'd just want a tactile warning from the grooves not to drink it and a smooth side to stick a label on.

@mattroe78 @TrenchTrotter The grooves on the sides suggest it would have contained something potentially poisonous - textured bottles were designed to help you recognise them easily (and avoid you mixing them up with your pickle), even in the dark or if your eyesight wasn't great.
