Our 'how to build a rain garden planter' course at Ground yesterday went well. Educating members of the community to create their own surface water management solutions is a key part of our mission, so hopefully this will be the first of many!
Thanks to our panellists at today’s #HBW2022 Greening the City event
@LeePitcher9 of @LivingWithH2O Chris Digman of @Stantec, Kate & Dan of @susdrainable and James of @vubaresin joined @floodinnovation’s Pip Betts to discuss benefits and challenges re sustainable drainage
This week, we're all about celebrating the installation of our new planters and mural at @sewellonthego, Chanterlands Ave, Hull.
They were installed by a new co-operative that the project has been supporting, called @susdrainable
Mural by artist @GarnessArt
We're so proud!
@gazzy_uk @angus_young61 We have a solutions for even this type of property. Keep following and the next installations will show some other ideas too 🙂
Latest slow-release water storage planters by @susdrainable going in at Priory Baptist Church. There should be a legal requirement for every new-build home to have something like this fitted.
@angus_young61 @sewellonthego @sheffielduni@angus_young61 I will be at Priory Baptist Church on Saturday if you would like to come and see what is happening there... :D
@VanDutchmanXXX @angus_young61 @sewellonthego @sheffielduni Thanks for the suggestion! Do you have a link to one that may be suitable for this application? Charcoal filters is not my area of expertise, but I am on a journey and looking to learn about new ways to improve what we do!
@VanDutchmanXXX @angus_young61 @sewellonthego @sheffielduni As the MAGIC Project continues, we will be incorporating a different style of rain planter into our designs, specifically designed to reduce pollution levels in rainwater before it enters the drainage network. Keep following to see more! :D
