A new school year is afoot and, now more than ever, do we need a roster of empowering leaders to help ensure a smooth return to face-to-face classes.

And included in that roster is the 𝐒𝐔𝐒𝐆 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬’ 𝐑𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐟𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐞. Grounded on the Bayanihan spirit, we are undoubtedly confident and wholeheartedly ready in serving the Sillimanian studentry this coming school year.

According to the Audited Financial Statement, Silliman University has an excess of revenues over expense of P54M (2019) and P45M (2020). The current Administration does not want to share a portion of this “surplus” to its academic personnel because they are not entitled to it.

1/3: With 38 votes in favor, the “Resolution Adopting a Magna Carta of Students’ Rights of Silliman University” was passed in its final reading in the SUSG Student Assembly and is now on the hands of the SUSG Pres for his approval.

The Oriental Hall was open until 11 PM because of FINALS WEEK. There were free coffees, free transportation for students who live outside Dumaguete, free printing services, faster wifi, and study lounges were opened for students.
