i am once again asking why the fuck we take taxes from 15-17 year olds paychecks when they aren’t allowed to vote bc to me that sounds a little bit like taxation without representation
My company pays an $80k min wage, lets people work wherever they want, has full benefits, paid parental leave, etc.
We get over 300 applicants per job.
"No one wants to work" is a hell of a way of saying "companies won't pay workers a fair wage and treat them with respect."
There's legislation in California to shorten the workweek from 40 hours to 32 hours without a reduction in pay, which would be the most transformative labor legislation in our generation, and it should be bigger news... but it barely made a headline.
I do not understand people on Instacart. If you wouldn’t tip your waitress $5 on a $200 bill then why the fuck would you tip the person doing your weeks worth of grocery shopping $5 for over $200 worth of stuff? If you can’t afford to get your groceries delivered, then don’t.
saw someone talk about how if Kim K, with all the money and resources in the world, can’t safely and simply divorce her husband without being harassed and stalked, then it’s about time we stop asking women in domestic violence situations the question “why doesn’t she just leave?”
me: ok I have $120 left to my name I really need to manage my spending
coffee cart lady five minutes later: would you like to add adaptive mushrooms to your $5 cold brew for an extra $3.50?
me: of course
Euphoria is actually a lot more impressive when you find out he wrote the whole season with one hand because he was jerking off with the other I’m about to delete this
I’m not even particularly picky about tv shows but I cannot tell you the last time I opened Netflix and there was something new that seemed even vaguely worth watching
