As we wind down 2019, I wanted to share with you my annual list of favorites that made the last year a little brighter. We’ll start with books today — movies and music coming soon. I hope you enjoy these as much as I did.
Petrol. LPG. Onions. Farmers. Delhi pollution. Economy - Once upon a time in Mumbai, when our bollywood stars took it to twitter to showcase their social responsibility.
A few years later - Dumb. Deaf. Delete old tweets.
@vilakudy@nirmaltv And as someone else pointed out, it’s also an issue of connectivity. While we have 3 major airports, most of the frequent intl.operations are limited to the ME/SEA.I know how a Brit couple had changed their Kerala vacation itinerary after landing in Chennai & heading to Pondy.
@vilakudy@nirmaltv Was wondering why the media, particularly the official handles of Kerala tourism, didn’t really celebrate the NatGeo’s ‘the planet’s most exciting places to visit in 2020’. Kochi was the among the very few Asian places, the only one from India.
Okay, @the_hindu - it’s either that your journos need a better research team or that they’ve never bought vegetables for themselves. Rs.178/month for vegetables is some Math I don’t seem to get, however hard I think. Btw, which urban locations are you referring to here?
Given that an urban household on average spent Rs 178 per month to buy vegetables, many households may be forced to omit #onions as a part of their diet https://t.co/Jc3oCWSHwL
So, apart from the big M media houses in Malayalam, national media, particularly those in English, (News minute, Indian express, India today, TOI- to name a few) have already given average to negative reviews for Mammootty’s #Mamangam.
An extremely logical thought. To all the youngsters who're being told to do a job you'd love, please understand they're trying to mislead you. A job is what puts food on your table. Passion is what you should spare to kill the stress, an derivative of your job.
Get a job doing what you love and you'll have to work twice as hard for half as much money, because your boss will exploit your passion for profit, and drive you little by little to hate what you once loved.
Whoa!! Well done, Cadbury's (and Ogilvy), using a Kannada headline in the Mumbai edition, Telugu headline in the Delhi edition and a Marathi headline in the Bengaluru edition. Point made beautifully! Lovely idea that turns our usual Hindi-centric advertising on its head :)
after all the talk here about Kabir Singh and Arjun Reddy; a movie that depicts toxic masculinity without glamorizing it is finally available to stream. do watch it if you're a fan of good filmmaking and for a bone chilling acting master class by Fahadh Faasil.
