เมื่อวันที่ 21 สิงหาคมที่ผ่านมา ศาลอุทธรณ์กรุงโซลมีคำพิพากษากลับคำตัดสินของศาลชั้นต้น และตัดสินให้ศิลปินคังแดเนียลเป็นฝ่ายชนะ ในคดีเรียกค่าเสียหายมูลค่ากว่า 700 ล้านวอน (ประมาณ 16.45 ล้านบาท) ที่ Genie Music ยื่นฟ้องจากปัญหารายได้คอนเสิร์ตไม่เป็นไปตามเป้าหมาย

คดีดังกล่าว ย้อนกลับไปเมื่อเดือนมิถุนายน 2565 มีการทำสัญญาจัดการแสดงมูลค่า 2,200 ล้านวอน เป็นระยะเวลา 1 ปี ครอบคลุมคอนเสิร์ตทั้งในและต่างประเทศ หลังจากจัดการแสดงในกรุงโซล ฟิลิปปินส์ ไทย และประเทศอื่น ๆ พบว่ามียอดขาดทุนประมาณ 710 ล้านวอน ทำให้ Genie Music ยื่นฟ้องเรียกค่าเสียหาย โดยศาลชั้นต้นเคยมีคำสั่งให้คังแดเนียลชดใช้ประมาณ 400 ล้านวอน เนื่องจากมองว่าบริษัทต้นสังกัดเดิมมีหน้าที่ด้านการประชาสัมพันธ์และการวางแผนการแสดง

ล่าสุดศาลอุทธรณ์ตัดสินให้คังแดเนียลเป็นฝ่ายชนะคดี เนื่องจากศาลพิจารณาว่า คังแดเนียลได้ปฏิบัติหน้าที่ในการแสดงตามที่ระบุไว้ในสัญญาอย่างครบถ้วนแล้ว จึงไม่เป็นธรรมสำหรับเขาที่จะต้องรับผิดชอบต่อความเสียหายดังกล่าวเป็นการส่วนตัว นอกจากนี้ Genie Music ยังยกประเด็นเรื่องยอดขาดทุนขึ้นมาหลังจากสัญญาสิ้นสุดไปแล้วหลายเดือน และไม่เคยร้องขอให้คังแดเนียลจัดคอนเสิร์ตเพิ่มเติมเพื่อชดเชยยอดขาดทุนดังกล่าวในระยะเวลาที่สัญญายังมีผลด้วย
