My thanks go to @merseypolice & our emergency service partners who have responded so swiftly.
Updates will be provided as soon as possible. In the meantime, I'd urge people to please not speculate any further.
We’d like to share a message with you. Following the tragic events that deeply affected us all over the summer, and the sentencing last week, we feel now is the right time to say: thank you to the amazing people of Southport, Merseyside and beyond.
We will continue to be there for you as we move forward as a community. We are working hard to keep the area we so proudly serve a safe place to be.
Despite us all being rocked by the events that took place last summer, we remain strong, united and we stand together.
Please take a moment to watch this video and hear about how the police and community have supported each other in this toughest of times.
As always, our thoughts remain with the families of Alice, Bebe and Elsie, as well as everyone involved in and affected by the tragic events of 29th July.
