It's got some great character based comedy without descending into silliness, great villains, and some of the best action scenes in the series.

In fact the first hamburgers in the US were served on regular toasted sandwich bread

What makes it a melt is the method of preparation.

A melt - which is a grilled cheese sandwich with extra added ingredients

And a burger - a sandwich with a patty of ground beef or ground beef substitute.
