Today we mourn the passing of our former Watch Manager Cyril Sankey who served his community for 29 years before retiring in 2011, such a fantastic turnout from the local community, former colleagues and fire service personnel. Rest In Peace Cyril.
#SHOUTS - TOC - 15.02 - FIRE DOMESTIC, stood down on route and diverted to STANDBY, then sent to a FIRE IN THE OPEN, this turned out to be a malicious fire involving petrol, an extremely dangerous act which could have resulted in explosion and severe injury! #oncall#hfrs#think

Please think and obey the signs as they are there for a reason - people driving in these lanes also prevent emergency services from getting to the incident, a few minutes can be critical in giving emergency care!

Luckily the first crew in attendance confirmed no persons trapped.
Itโs illegal to drive in a lane closed by a Red โsign. If youโre caught, you could receive a fixed penalty of up to ยฃ100 and three points, and in some cases more severe penalties or a court appearance.

๐๐จYesterday at 17:58 the Yateley crew attended a 7 car RTC on the M3 along with crews from Surrey.
While en route to the incident the amount of cars still traveling in the closed lane was unbelievable and made progress difficult.
