Politicians should always stick to the truth and the whole truth. Today's Maldivians are far more educated, informed, and connected than they were a decade ago. The public can no longer be misled by half-truths, selective facts, or carefully twisted narratives.

Any short-term political gain achieved through misleading information is rarely worth the long-term damage to credibility, trust, and public confidence. Once trust is lost, it is far harder to regain than any temporary advantage is worth.

This is the same Shaan Muizzu appointed as Deputy Minister in 2024, then had to remove in disgrace.

In Oct 2017, he was caught red handed in a Thinadhu guesthouse with a 16 year old girl. Police found his DNA on her chest, semen in her vaginal area and presented 6 witnesses. Yet he was released on a pathetic technicality, as usual in Maldivian courts. How low will MDP sink? Clean this filth up now!
