An Odia from Kalahandi living in Pune. Love wildlife anywhere in the world, respect my country and our solider. Loves to travel & explore, a Sholay lover too.
Radio-tagged Gharial NKM 322 dispersed nearly 315 km from its release site at Sunakhania and was located in a nallah near Bhalubutra Village, Olagaon Beat, Khaksara Section, Junagarh Range of Kalahandi South Forest Division. Long-distance dispersal is a natural behaviour of Gharials as they explore and establish suitable river habitats.
Based on radio telemetry inputs and prompt field action, the Forest Department safely rescued the animal for its release into a suitable habitat.
This successful operation highlights the importance of scientific monitoring, radio telemetry, and coordinated field response in the conservation of the Critically Endangered Gharial.

@ShivAroor Thank you Shiv four Your persistent follow up on this case, including Pooja - IAS fraud case, Porsche hit and run case, and many other cases. Appreciate your follow ups.
@gaurravbhrdwj was in Shilari, Pench on 29th. Few things i wanted to report to you. Safari vehicles are not at all following rules. Wanted to meet the FD and report. Don’t wish to complain against a single driver or guide but the discipline is seriously lacking.
@Pixel_Stripes@BesuraTaansane Same night I drove from Pune to Nerul, Nerul to T2 and from T2 to back to Pune. No water loggings, no traffic. Though I was scared all through.
