#ManCity do not believe a statement made by Etihad Airways to a US investigation in 2015 undermines their defence but strengthens it. The club will argue that Etihad secured funding from the Crown Prince Court for the promotion of Abu Dhabi and once it received that money it became part of the airline’s “liquidity”, and that the government did not pay @ManCity directly on behalf of Etihad.
Etihad statement in 2015: “The assertion that the Abu Dhabi government paid for Etihad’s sponsorship of Manchester City is equally false. In 2011 Etihad and Manchester City entered into a 10-year sponsorship agreement, which included naming rights for Manchester City’s stadium. Etihad funded this sponsorship from its own liquidity. It is not uncommon for airlines to have sponsorships with sports teams and their venues.”

@ShivamKPy@thepranaysingh Whatever helps you cope with the reality of how shit United are, especially after having a higher net spend than City since the Abu Dhabi takeover and still failing to win a single PL title in 14 years. Irrespective of the City case, you lot aren’t winning anything anytime soon.
@ShivamKPy@thepranaysingh Whatever helps you cope 😂 You dug up a 7 month old reply because someone liked your tweet and somehow I’m the embarrassing one here. Read my original response again. I was talking about your claim on state ownership, not the point you’re making now. And yes, you’re still wrong.
@ShivamKPy@thepranaysingh I said that neither UEFA FFP nor the Premier League’s PSR rules ban state sponsorship of football clubs. And I’m still correct. You waited seven months to come up with a reply, only to be proven wrong again. That’s actually even more embarrassing.
@ViralP4TEL@RahulGandhi@abbas_nighat Clown? You need to come up with better insults if you want to hurt me. I have pretty thick skin when it comes to Gujaratis. 😂
@ViralP4TEL@RahulGandhi@abbas_nighat So you made zero points, no data, no figures. You started by calling Rahul out for living a luxury lifestyle because of his family wealth, but when I called you out, you started backtracking into random topics. I’m done entertaining your tomfoolery and whataboutism.
@ViralP4TEL@RahulGandhi@abbas_nighat Glad you appreciated my research. At least one of us talks facts 😂 NITI Aayog & UNDP data show MPI fell from 55% to 27% between 2005-15, with 271M lifted out of poverty. The trend predates Modi. Got actual data for your logic or you need more time to check your WhatsApp gallery?
@ViralP4TEL@RahulGandhi@abbas_nighat So Piyush Goyal & Jay Shah aren’t products of their fathers’ success? And poverty was already declining before 2014 under both the Lakdawala and Tendulkar methodologies. So how exactly did you conclude “INC increased poverty, BJP reduced it”? Did you researched on whatsapp?
@ViralP4TEL@RahulGandhi@abbas_nighat 58% of Indians earn less than ₹8,500 p/m. For a majority, the “ordinary” life many of us take for granted is already a 7-star luxury. So you don’t have to be poor to speak for those who are. Empathy doesn’t require poverty. Also, even the politician you support enjoys a VIP life
@chuckynos@TouchLineFacts@thecityshack Manchester Association FC folded in 1888, the exact year the Football League was created because they refused to professionalize, so they never competed in any level of English football league. So they don't count.
@TouchLineFacts@thecityshack And I didn't contested that anywhere. Yes Newton Heath is older than St. Marks. But both clubs were founded outside Manchester’s official city boundaries back then. And City adopted the name "Manchester" in 1894 while United followed in 1902. So City are "oldest Manchester club"
@TouchLineFacts@thecityshack Newton Heath was founded before St. Mark’s but it wasn’t "Manchester" United. City became Manchester City in 1894. United only adopted the "Manchester" name in 1902. So yes Newton Heath came first but Manchester City predates Manchester United.
The old West Bengal tourism ad of "Sweetest Part of India" featuring Shah Rukh Khan was so good & beautiful which explored the Bengali culture. Now look at the big downgrade from that to current one.
If you see a catastrophic disaster that has killed countless people and your first reaction is “this is because they didn’t worship MY god,” you are an irredeemable piece of shit
Two teams wearing blue have beaten India in this Hockey World Cup. Clearly their national federations have not read the memo about blue uniforms confusing teammates on a blue turf!
Modi ji, look at what your NTA has just done.
UGC-NET exams for Sociology, English and Commerce were held between 22 and 30 June. Nearly two months later, NTA has cancelled all three because it set faulty papers and repeated old questions.
Thousands of candidates who prepared for years, filled forms, paid the fees, travelled to distant centres, must now do it all again in September. NTA makes the mistake but the student serves the sentence.
I said this in Kota, in Dehradun, in Prayagraj, and I will keep saying it - this is no longer an education system. It is an extraction machine. It takes your money, your years, your mental health, and your confidence and returns nothing. Not even a job.
NTA still won’t answer the real question - were these papers leaked before the exam?
Just like every other arm of the Modi government, NTA never says it’s their fault. Just like every other compromised paper, I am absolutely sure there will be no accountability.
Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation was the first step, not the last. NTA’s leadership must be held accountable too.
To every student sitting this exam again in September - you are not the problem. PM Modi built a system that cannot run an exam and then blames the students who take it. Your years are being stolen and we will not stop until PM Modi answers for it.
