Dear Miami Fans,
Welcome to Kansas City.
We're in the middle of America. We have hearts of gold. We get 4 seasons of weather. It rains, it snows. It gets windy. It gets hot, it gets perfect and sometimes tornado sirens go off. We love our town, our people, our culture and we have a ton of great food options. Our lifestyle is simpler, a little slower at times and for us, it works.
In January, which is often referred to as a winter month, it can get cold here. Last year we had some days in the 70s...this week we get snow. And cold.
The Dolphins and Chiefs play an outdoor sport in the elements. Fans, who live in these elements, know how to adjust. Just like early-season games can be hot in Miami, late-season games in the Midwest can be cold. Both have advantages to the resident team.
The modern technology of today will keep the players quite warm. The older generation of players didn't have luxuries of today (or the tech) but they found a way to play the game. The modern technology of today will keep FANS quite warm. Of course, so will bourbon, Fireball and other home-grown remedies.
For fans bitching about the weather, you can lick a frozen pole for all I care. In fact, lick your hands first, grab said frozen pole, then stick your tongue on the frozen pole.
That should silence some of the dumbest takes that have been published on Twitter-X over the past 24 hours.
In other words, get over it. Get over yourselves.
And Welcome to Kansas City.
