@IrkthePurists When married we could live that lifestyle on one income for a few years, now it takes 2 incomes and that lifestyle is pretty much out of the question.
@IrkthePurists I think it's only recently dawned on me that life was a gas from 1999 until around 2008 when despite pretty low wages I could walk into a job. Rent was less than £100 a week in London, Sydney and Oxford. I was eating out a lot, flying away for foreign weekend trips sometimes...
