Norman Lear is 100. He survived the great depression and 52 missions against the Nazis. He's the most successful TV producer of all time, and one of the world's greatest civil rights defenders.
Here I am giving him some advice on how to live a good life.
The world sometimes says it's better to look cool than try hard - but he tried so hard. And made it cool. Congratulations on one of the most unusual greats to ever play basketball
DOJ statements to get Cornyn & Tillis votes don't erase the rotten deals Blanche cut for Trump.
"Blanche has abused his power to mock the rule of law, enrich his most important client and betray American taxpayers" @SvanteMyrick@peoplefor

Sean Strickland: It's kind of crazy how unpopular Trump is. We're talking hardcore Republicans, these guys say "I can't do it anymore. I feel betrayed." The people that have voted for you, like you actively just fucking spit in their face, for what?

Former Pardon Attorney: 2 days after Mr. Blanche was confirmed as Deputy Attorney General, he fired me from my position as a pardon attorney. I declined to rubber stamp a political favor for Trump's friend and it cost me my job. Blanche sent US Marshals to my home in an effort to prevent me from speaking with members of Congress.

Punishing people who use illegal drugs doesn’t work—and only worsens health, racial, and economic inequities.
Harm reduction works. It is a nonjudgmental and evidence-based approach of meeting people who use illegal drugs where they are and helps them to save their own lives and strengthen their families and communities. Harm reduction doesn’t withhold help or support even if people cannot or won’t stop using drugs. It also brings compassion to drug policies and ensures that people who use drugs have their voices heard in policy debates.
Examples of harm reduction include administering naloxone to reverse the effects of opioid overdose, overdose prevention sites, and housing first programs.
Open Society’s Judy Chang gives three facts about harm reduction.

Sen. @amyklobuchar: Do you agree that it is unacceptable for federal agents to forcibly enter someone's home without a warrant and drag them onto the street without even checking that they have the right person?
Acting AG Todd Blanche: Well, it depends on the circumstances as you know. We very much believe in the constitutional protections afforded American citizens
Sen. @DickDurbin: We are here today with the awesome responsibility of choosing the next Attorney General of the United States of America. We're here because there's a vacancy in the office, Trump decided to fire Pam Bondi after just 14 months on the job. Since you were confirmed, the Department of Justice has literally violated dozens of court orders to advance the Trump's agenda.
