Dear President @realDonaldTrump
With due respect, it seems there is some misinformation about the security situation in Nigeria.
Nigeria has indeed faced serious insecurity for over a decade, especially in the northern regions - the North East, North West, and North Central.
In the North East, Boko Haram has been terrorizing communities since 2009, killing hundreds of thousands of innocent men, women, and children. They’ve attacked both mosques and churches, sparing no one. Since the region is about 80% Muslim, most of their victims are Muslims.
In the North West, bandits have been killing and kidnapping innocent people for nearly a decade. Their crimes includes murders and abductions mirror Boko Haram’s methods. With the region being about 90% Muslim, Muslims remain the main victims there too.
In the South, insecurity is mostly seen in the South East, where the IPOB group creates unrest by harassing and intimidating locals, though their actions differ from the northern insurgencies.
So, it’s inaccurate to claim that Christians face an existential threat in Nigeria. Insecurity affects all Nigerians, regardless of religion or region.
If you truly wish to help Nigeria overcome these challenges, your support with modern defense tools and intelligence technology would make a lasting impact.
Thank you, Mr. President.
