Both the PCR tests and the lateral flow tests were carefully designed to allow for that. I had such inane conversations about such things during lockdown.

One nurse who lives by me was explaining to me how the lateral flow tests were 96%+ accurate, but she didn’t understand that when there’s endemic illnesses within society those tests have a 50% accuracy rate (no better than chance), because it’s testing for remnants of antibodies, not active infection. And those antibodies may have been produced to fight colds or flus.

They used PCR tests in the wrong way, and then lateral flow tests at the wrong time, so that more people would be able to say that they had “Covid”. It was all dirty tricks.
