Program Director, Energy Transition at DNV
Researching the #energytransition, providing an Outlook for our future, and working towards "well below 2°C"
As of today, we have officially updated our name to DNV. We look forward to working with all our stakeholders under our new name, serving as a trusted voice to tackle global transformations. Visit us at https://t.co/cL21USctRw.

Responding to the COVID-19 crisis and the energy transition can be two sides of the same coin. Read the latest feature article from @dnvgl on how you can kill two birds with one stone, or miss them both. #energytransition

@DNVGL has now released a feature article describing the impact of COVID-19 on the energy transition.
The short version: Significant impact short and long term on global energy use and emissions, but utterly insufficient to bring us close to Paris accord.

The global effect of Norway's EV policy is considerable, with emission reductions outside Norway exceeding those domestically by a factor of five. @DNVGL estimates that the offensive Norwegian EV policy reduces global CO2 emissions with 400 Mt.

NEW PODCAST: With the demand for #fossilfuels falling significantly, and countries focusing on economic recovery, what does the future hold for the #climateemergency? Our CEO, Ditlev Engel discusses more in this #TalksEnergy episode.

Was 2019 the peak of the fossil fuel era? Very interesting perpectives from @kingsmillbond. In @DNVGL ETO forecast from last year, energy related emissions peaked in 2025, at a level 1.4% higher than 2019.
This years update may indeed give peak emissions.

As said before, Norway's control of its methane emissions is a much stronger argument for differentiation of Norwegian gas than low CO2 footprint under production
Global warming will unfortunately see no pause even if there is a dip in global emissions. It takes much more than a global lock-down to stop this trend! https://t.co/BNvHHAb4m2
Dyr klimapolitikk må ha effekt utover norskegrensen skriver @Aftenposten.
